Gangtok:19th Oct:Sivanand Lakhera, from Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, was in Gangtok a few hours back. He said , ‘We have come to thank the people of Sikkim , including student bodies and others ,for raising voice for justice to Ankita Bhandari.The protest they were to launch today had to be postponed due to several reasons including the ongoing festival. Lakhera , said he hopes the struggle for justice continues here.
It was informed that late Ankita’s mother was protesting in front of Sikkim House, in Delhi today.
He claimed A Bhandari’s case has been politicised which should not have been done. As a Common Man- Aam Aadmi , its our duty to seek justice for Ankita.Lalhera claimed that he has been protesting since day one , had started with 2 others and now the mass protesting is on. He claimed further that certain VIP ‘s name has been linked to the whole case and fingers pointed at the Governor of Sikkim ,also by parents of the victim. Now that he has assumed office how will the justice be done ? He asserted that its upto the judiciary to decide , he in his capacity as a common man would not be dubbing antone as the guilty! But since voice has been raised investigation is anticipated for solving the issue and to give our the facts.
