Gangtok:19th Oct:Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court, A Muhamed Mustaque administered the oath of office to the 19th Governor of Sikkim, Dushyant Gautam,today. At the Swearing in ceremony at Lok Bhawan premises, here.
Speaker Sikkim Legislative Assembly MN Sherpa ,Chief Minister , PS Tamang was also present with Deputy Speaker Raj Kumari Thapa,his Cabinet and MLAs. MP Lok Sabha ( Sikkim) Indra Hang Subba attended the function, while MP Darjeeling Raju Bishta was also there for a short time.Chief Information Commissioner Kuber Bhandari was also there.
Earlier the warrant of appointment was read out by CS R Telang.Subsequently the Chief Minister followed by all the dignitaries and officers offered traditional scarves ( Khadas ) to the Governor also to the First Lady Laxmi Gautam.
Chief Minister PS Golay has extended best wishes to the’ newly appointed Governor and said that he ‘firmly believes that the beloved state will achieve greater heights under his able guidance.’
‘We look forward to working with the Governor for the development of Sikkim and the welfare of the Sikkimese people,’ CM added.
