Swearing in Ceremony of New Governor Scheduled for 19th October ’26

 Dushyant Kumar Gautam,  has arrived at Burtuk , Gangtok, today. His swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday, at Lok Bhavan, here.

Upon arrival the Governor was received by
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Deputy Speaker SLA Raj Kumari Thapa, Council of Ministers, MLAs, Mayor GMC and Councillors, Chief Secretary,Director General of Police, Political Advisors to HCM, Advisors, Chairpersons, OSDs, along with senior Government officials.

The Governor-designate of Sikkim was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Sikkim Armed Police at Burtuk Helipad upon his arrival.

Mr Dushyant Kumar Gautam was appointed as the 21st Governor of Sikkim by the President of India, Ms Droupadi Murmu, on October 12, 2026. He succeeds outgoing Governor, Om Prakash Mathur.
