Gangtok:25Aug: Madam Krishna Rai, visited the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp, at Thakurbari here today. The camp organised by Brahmakumari centre Gangtok, led by Sonam Didi was joined by Ek Hath Ek Sath and other NGOs.
Mrs Krishna ( w/o CM PS Tamang),said ,’ the mega camp has been organised in memory of Dadi Prakashmaniji.Ir has been oeganized by the Social Service wing of BK centres across India,as it is Dadi”s 19th memorial day.
On being questioned about any possibility of involvement of Govt Deptts , Madam Krishna said she will tell CM about such a query.
Answering another question she said ‘so far we have never heard about shortage of blood in the Hospital blood banks
On the whole the response was good .Bur many had to be rejected some wirh blood pressure , some certain orher issues
It was encouraging to see ITBP ,Police and Students donating blood voluntarily.
