Gangtok:25 Aug: ‘SKM Sports wing is all set to host Marathon run on 29th August celebrating the birth anniversary of Lt Major Dhyanchand,’ this was announced by Chairman of Sikkim Sports Development Board, Rinzing Wangyal Bhutia.He was addressing media ,here today.
‘A 5 kms run will be organised,in 4 categories,’ he added.
Vice President,SKM S wing,MLA Norbu Lamtha, said flag off ceremony will take place Ridge Park .Marathon will be by flagged off by the Party President ( CM PS Tamang).
‘CM has created an eco system for Sports during the last Seven years of our Govt and National tournaments/ Championships have taken place .All the health conscious and Marathon lovers are requested to come and join.
General Secy Sports Wing , Football Icon Nirmal Chettri, said ,’ The Four categories of 5 kms Run include U 13-17/ 18-35/36-45/46 and above.’
Theme of the Marathon, is ‘Run for the Healthier Sikkim.’
Registration can be done through the QR code given on Social media.There is no registration fee.For off line registration a desk will be put up at MG Marg from Wednesday.’
It has been informed that only 500 participants will be taken by 28th ,the last date for registration. A
