Gangtok:5th July :Under the Special Intensive Voter Nomination Review (Special Intensive Revision, SIR) concluded in Sikkim, around 37 thousand voters have been removed from the voter nomination and around 43 thousand new voters have been added. This information was given by Raj Yadav, Chief Election Officer of Sikkim in the press conference held today. According to Chief Election Officer Yadav, the draft voter nomination was prepared from June 28 to July 5. All details updated after the review process have been uploaded to the Chief Election Officer’s website, so that the public can easily view and verify their names and details. He said a special intensive review campaign was conducted aimed at making the voter nomination more pure, updated and transparent. In addition, citizens have also been urged to check their details through the website and correct them if needed. The Election Commission has stated that the review process is crucial towards making voter nomination real and credible targeting the upcoming elections.
