Gangtok:17th Oct:BJP Sikkim Pradesh,keeping in view the constitutional process has reacted to appointment of new Governor positivi.They have stated, ‘With regard to the appointment of Dushyant Kumar Gautam as Governor of Sikkim, we respect the constitutional process and extend our best wishes to the Governor-designate as he prepares to assume this important constitutional responsibility.’
It is well known that the appointment of new Gov had created controversy linking him to an event in past .Due to death of a young girl(2022) resulting in conviction of 3.After her death serving as receptionist,her parents reportedly asked authorities to look into it further.And allegations linking certain VIP have been made unfortunately pointing at new Gov designate.
BJP has. added ‘Our collective responsibility is to uphold the rule of law, respect the judicial process and ensure that the pursuit of truth is neither prejudiced nor politicised. We sincerely hope that the investigation brings clarity to all outstanding questions and provides Ankita Bhandari’s family with the answers they seek’added BJP.’
‘BJP Sikkim Pradesh has further acknowledged the latest development in the Ankita Bhandari case, wherein her parents met senior officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Delhi and were reportedly assured that the investigation would be conducted in a fair and impartial manner.
The assurance given by the CBI is an important step towards reinforcing public confidence in the investigative process.
‘BJP has expressed heartfelt solidarity with Ankita Bhandari’s family and they have said that they recognise their continued pursuit of truth and justice. The loss of a young life is deeply distressing, and the concerns of her bereaved parents deserve to be addressed with compassion, dignity and seriousness,’ Sikkim State BJP having taken note of the latest development in the issue ,has said so.BJP said further ,’We trust that all outstanding questions, including those concerning the alleged VIP angle, will be examined objectively and thoroughly on the basis of evidence and in accordance with the law.’
‘BJP Sikkim Pradesh firmly believes that justice must remain above political considerations. The investigation must be allowed to proceed independently, with due regard for the family’s concerns, the principles of natural justice and the presumption of innocence.’
