Gangtok:6th July : Minister for Commerce & Industries T T Bhutia, announced, organising a State level Ideathon, here today The event will be organised in collaboration with the Seed Cell , it will start from Distts. On 14th July it will start from Soreng, followed by other districts. The grand finale will be held on 21st August ,on the World Entrepreneurs Day. It has been named ‘Udyami State Bharosa Sammelan ‘by CM PS Tamang.

Minister ,said Sikkim Rise is being organised under the developing ecosystem.It aims at developing ideas,progressive entrepreneurship and mostly to make yourh and women self reliant theough entrepreneurship in future.’
There will be three stages of competition under the forthcoming programme ,Ideas Proto type ideas and Revenue..
Secretary said The Ideathon is much more than a competition.mentorship will be given by successful entrepreneurs in State ,department will be handholding( supporting).Its the First time we are doing it,under policy to promote sustainable livelihood.’It creats opportunity.Winners will be given national exposure trips and opportunity to pitch at national level.
OSD C& I Deptt Dipendra Subba,said the response has been good .Total 5555 entries have been received.The Knowledge partners will be coming from Kolkota IIZm and Seed Cell.
It has been further informed by the authorities that to encourage excellence Rs 20 Lakhs each award will be given to winnerand Rs 5 Lakhs each to runner up.Deptt and Seed Cell together have been aspiring to show the entrepreneurial path to women and youth so that 5hey can flourish in future life!
