Gangtok:20th July:Inside the Tunnel – Samardung Tunnel South Sikkim. Efforts to rescue the workers trapped inside are on. NDRF is conducting rescue work for workers and those NHPC personnel who had gone in to rescue workers earlier . Those who could escape have said that they suddenly heard a loud bang and were shocked. Investigation has been assured to ascertain the cause of what has happened.
