Gangtok:10th Oct: CM PS Tamang, attended the grand Sadbhavana Sammelan organised by Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti, Sikkim, and its North Eastern regional unit, in the presence of Sadguru Satpal Maharaj ,’at Rangpo.
Addressing the huge gathering at Rangpo grounds , CM , emphasised that ‘Sikkim’s greatest strength lies in its unity in diversity, where people of different religions, languages, traditions and cultures live together in peace and mutual respect. Our guiding principle has always been to Compete, Cooperate and Co-exist, while upholding the values of harmony, compassion and universal brotherhood.’
CM recalled Maharaj’s historic Bharat Jago Padyatra and his journey through the Himalayan region in 1985, which established a lasting bond with Sikkim. He also highlighted that the true essence of Dharma lies in compassion, forgiveness, self-realisation and selfless service. As Maharaj Ji has rightly emphasised, “There should be no politics in religion, but there must be Dharma in politics.”
‘In an increasingly technology-driven and materialistic world, the teachings of our saints and sages remain vital in nurturing inner peace, moral values and spiritual wisdom. Progress and development must go hand in hand with the preservation of our rich spiritual and cultural heritage.Our Government remains committed to respecting every faith equally and extending support towards the preservation and development of religious and spiritual institutions across Sikkim,’added CM.
