Gangtok:11th May: A pregnant women passed away in Siliguri , along with unborn twins , was no longer undertreatment in Gangtok , has been disclosed,yet there were certain allegations that she died in hospital,here.
The issue was reported in Social media on the basis of certain family information.
State Govt has constituted an Inquiry Commission of 5 members with DGP,Officer from Anti Corruption and others.Secretary Health & Family Welfare ,Sonam Gyatso,has confirmed it.
On 22nd the lady patient was discharged from the STNM here and subsequently left for Siliguri hospital.
Dr Suresh Rasaily,Additional Suptt STNM,said, ‘It was unfortunate. She was about 40-42 years, was admitted twice . It was IVF baby doctors tried to salvage it She was told to stay here but got discharged. And fod not follow up. Again she was admitted on 4th April. ‘
The official statements lead to a conclusion that Sweta Karki with unborn twins did nt die in Gangtpk but Siliguri. And it would be better to look forward to IC ‘s Report .
