New President of Lachen TDC Chewang Lachenpa
Lachen, 12 July: The Lachen Tourism Development Committee (LTDC) has unanimously elected Chewang Lachenpa, as the President of the Executive,Committee for the 2026 term.(Lachen at an elevation of 8500 ft).
The newly constituted Executive Committee comprises Dupjor Lachenpa as Vice President, Tshering Rinzing Lachenpa as General Secretary, Ugen Lhendup Lachenpa as Joint Secretary, and Kasang Namgyal along with Tenzing Ongdi Lachenpa as Treasurers.
On the occasion, outgoing President Chokdup Lachenpa felicitated the newly elected Executive Committee members by offering traditional khadas, symbolizing blessings, goodwill, and best wishes for their tenure.
Addressing the gathering, Chokdup Lachenpa urged new body to work with unity, dedication, and a shared vision for the sustainable development and promotion of tourism in Lachen. He expressed confidence that the newly elected committee would continue strengthening Lachen’s tourism sector while preserving the region’s unique cultural and natural heritage.
