Hee Yangthang West Sikkim :12th July: A new Badminton Court Mat installed at the Hee Yangthang School Hall under the MPLADS (Lok Sabha) fund of Member of Parliament Dr. Indra Hang Subba was inaugurated today during the closing ceremony of the Summer Badminton Camp’26.
The camp was organized by Hee Yangthang Shuttlers (HYS) under the leadership of its President, Suren Limboo and the guidance of Dr. Indra Hang Subba, Chief Patron of HYS. The training camp was conducted by professional badminton player and coach Atul Khawas, who mentored the young participants in improving their skills, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony was attended by coaches, players, parents, and members of the local community. The installation of the Badminton Court Mat is expected to strengthen sports infrastructure in the area and provide better training facilities for aspiring shuttlers.
The event concluded with appreciation for the contributions of Suren Limboo, Atul Khawas, the organizers, and volunteers in making the camp a success, according to communique from the Office of the MP, Lok Sabha .
