Gangtok:12th July :BJP State General Secretary Arjun Rai today called on Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh , in New Delhi and discussed several important issues concerning the development of Sikkim. He highlighted the urgent need to strengthen road connectivity, particularly Border Roads connectivity in North Sikkim which have remained severely affected since the Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) of October 2023 and continue to face repeated disruptions due to monsoon-induced landslides. Rai requested sustained attention towards ensuring reliable connectivity for the region’s residents, tourism, and strategic requirements.
He also briefed the Raksha Mantri on the organisational activities and current status of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Sikkim, reaffirming the party’s commitment to public welfare and the holistic development of the state.
