Gangtok:21st Aug:BJP Sikkim has formally lodged complaints with the Sikkim Vigilance Department, Police Accountability Commission and Sikkim Lokayukta, seeking an immediate investigation and registration of an FIR wherever offences are established.
As stated by the Chief Minister, against an estimated ₹31 crore RAP/PAP revenue in 2025, only ₹3.64 crore was deposited into the State Treasury, leaving a gap of approximately ₹27 crore.
Where did the ₹27 crore go? Who collected it? Who was responsible for its reconciliation and deposit?
BJP Sikkim demands a complete five-year audit, year-wise public disclosure, recovery of every rupee lost, identification and prosecution of those responsible, and a White Paper on the matter.
Digitisation for the future cannot erase accountability for the past.
Public money demands public accountability.
