Rangpo, 10 October: During the two-day Sadbhavana Sammelan (Goodwill Conference) organized by the Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti North-East Region and the Samiti’s Sikkim State Committee at the sports ground in Rangpo, Pakyong district, Sikkim, the Most Reverend Sadgurudev Satpalji Maharaj, Vibhuji Maharaj, and the Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, shed light on the importance of spirituality, humanity, national unity, goodwill, and world peace. Organized by the Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti, the conference conveyed a message of fostering love, brotherhood, tolerance, and mutual harmony in society along with the awakening of spiritual consciousness.

Addressing the conference, Vibhuji Maharaj called upon the youth to participate in a spiritual revolution and contribute to nation-building with a spirit of national unity, goodwill, and human welfare. Mentioning that youth power is an invaluable asset to the nation, he stated that it is essential for the youth to develop positive thinking, moral values, discipline, a spirit of service, and spiritual consciousness.
According to Vibhuji Maharaj, the prosperity of a nation is not limited only to physical development and economic progress; character building of citizens, human sensitivity, mutual trust, and social responsibility are equally important for it. Spiritual knowledge inspires people to understand their true self, respect others, and become responsible towards society. Therefore, he said that the youth should rise above mutual differences and divisions and follow the path of unity, harmony, and humanity.
Vibhuji Maharaj expressed the view that if spiritual consciousness is awakened in the youth, they can become disciplined in their personal lives and also become harbingers of positive change in society. His message was that the youth should come forward to strengthen the social and cultural unity of the nation by internalizing the spirit of human service.

Stating that the role of spiritual education remains remarkable in maintaining peace, love, and harmony in society, he opined that such conferences would help strengthen the spirit of mutual understanding, unity, and brotherhood among different communities.
The Chief Guest stated that permanent ultimate peace and bliss cannot be achieved through material prosperity, and that ultimate peace is possible only through spirituality. Expressing his happiness over the fact that great spiritual figures like Maharaj are involved in politics and working for public service, he said that if such great souls lead in politics, the country will become prosperous.

Stating that positive changes can be brought about in personal life, social relationships, and global coexistence only if people can refine their inner minds along with the development of the external world, Sadgurudev Maharaj mentioned that spiritual knowledge helps bind people in a common thread of humanity and called upon everyone to move towards spiritual awakening. His message was that if humanity is prioritized by rising above caste, language, region, and other social differences, an environment of unity in society and peace in the world can be created.

A spiritual atmosphere was created with the presentation of a bhajan titled ‘Sadguru Ko Aagaman’ (The Arrival of Sadguru). Tamang Selo folk dance, reflecting the cultural identity of the eastern region, made the program more lively. Similarly, the dance titled ‘Unity in Diversity’ presented by the Samiti’s Dooars Mandal and the bhajan ‘Sunpati Phoolchhan’ conveyed the message of unity and harmony inherent within cultural diversity.
The conference was conducted by Laxman Rai, while Prakash Hangkhim, General Secretary of the Samiti, delivered the vote of thanks, and Purna Yonzon, President of the MUSS Sikkim State Committee, delivered the welcome address. A large number of the saint community and devotees from Sikkim, other states of India, as well as from Nepal and Bhutan, attended the conference.
