Ugen Namgyal Should Get Justice Soon- Actor Uttam Pradhan

Gangtok:23rd Sept: ‘The incident that happened with UNB ,the Rapper ,is really sad.He did not go their for his own reasons but was invited to perform.Artists reflect the society.They give an identity.So whatever happened is painful,’ said Actor Uttam Pradhan , President SKM Cultural Wing,here today.He was reacting to the recent incident in Dibang ,Arunachal Pradesh where an artist from Sikkim ,Rapper Ugen Namgyal Bhutia was allegedly attacked by certain people while on his way back after the programme.

‘We,the artists of Sikkim , always are affectionate towards the artists when they come here and expect the same when we go out to perform,’ added Pradhan.

On behalf of all the artists of Sikkim we thank CM PS Tamang for contacting the CM of Arunachal Pradesh and arrange for looking into the incident.We request authorities in Arunachal Pradesh to arrest the culprits and take action at the earliest ,giving justice to UNB,’ said Pradhan finally.

Vice President Dr Manoj Rai,endorssed the artists demanding justice. Secretary Komal Gurung and artist Pawan also condemned the incident and asked for justice.All the hill people hereby condemn whatever has happened in Dibang.Our brother should get justice soon,’ said Pawan.

However CM PS Tamang,soon after getting information talked to CM Pema Khandu ( Arunachal Pradesh) and inquired into the case asking him to ensure UNB’s security.
