Gangtok:30th Sept: Sikkim Vigilance Police has arrested ex General Manager of State Bank of Sikkim. The arrest, preceded by registration of FIR, investigation and raids into his various properties will be followed by further action . Properties in and around Gamgtok and Siliguri have been searched in ongoing investigation in disproportionate assets case.The properties are suspected to have been acquired from embezzled money.
‘Invrstigation revealed that he allegedly decived and followed corrupt practices during his tenure in office from 2022-24 and alleged to have siphoned crores of rupees illegally.Enforcement Directorate has attached several of assets,provisionally worth crores.It is deliberate abuse of pisition in office’, according to Sikkim Vigilance Police .
