Further ,Laxuman Adhikari, a registered shooter of the Sikkim Rifle Association and an athlete of the Sikkim Rifle & Pistol Academy, has created history by winning the first-ever Bronze Medal for Sikkim at the 13th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2026, held in Assam from 25th–30th August 2026.
‘Tlhis achievement comes within just one year of the Sikkim Rifle Association’s registration and affiliation with the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI)’,added Budhathoki.
‘From starting almost from scratch to winning a historic medal in an Olympic sport, this is only the beginning. The journey has just started, and the impact is already being felt.’
