Gangtok:14th June: ‘Say no to Drugs, ‘and lets make our sociey healthy’ , said Gangtok Municipal Corporation, Mayor Tshering Palden,the Chief Guest here today. She was addressing the gathering at the programme heralding International Day Against Drugs & Illicit Trafficking, held here at TNA ground . At the Futsal event organised by Freedom Facility rehabilitation centre , Tathangchen led by KC Nima , she described the event as a great contribution to the society,ore so as it has been associated with Futsal .
‘ Sports make players disciplined .One should face challenges and should not take to drug abuse, ‘ she added . She said she will also organise a Football event joined by KC Nima and Sports Deptt and lead it herself.
KC Nima ,organiser,said ‘Thpugh the IDADA & IT falls on 24th June ,we have organised it now due to exams of students diring those days.We have focused on women die to drug abuse increasing among them as also because they dont have much rehab.facilities.’
The event was marked by exhibition match between Press Club of Sikkim and TNA Parents team.TNA P’s team won by 1/0 .
Finals were played between TNA studentsv/s Teachers.Students lifted the Champions trophy.
Nima was happy to see the wonderful response to the programme.
