Gangtok:28th July: Sikkim Akademy is hosting a book reading ‘ Challenge’ followed by submission of opinion on the text. The programme has been titled ‘ Readers 2026′, announced Prez Akademy ,Prabin Rai Jumeli . Out of 30 books enlisted by the Akademy , each individual is free to choose one.In case of non availability of book(s) please approach Sikkim Akademy for the same , he added. The best ones will be goven opportunity to express their opinion diring the Bhasha Diwas Celebrations.Preceded by an opportunity on 18th August ’26 also.
According to General Secretary Purna Yonzon,’ Only those below 40 are eligible to take part.All the participants have to submit soft copy of their age proof.And have to WhatsApp their contact number to 9775910914( S .Akedemy).
About the process –
Participants are required to Upload original opinion on the book read, by 10th August’26 ,on the Facebook page of Sikkim Akademy .Ten best, after listening to the uploaded stuff would be selected for further evaluation by the Jury, appointed for the purpose .
Finally ,diring the Second phase it will be followed by Offline selection of 3 best, to be awarded. The First prize amounts to Rs 50 Thousand, Second -Rs 25 Thousand and Third Rs 10 Thousand.
