Lok Sabha MP Indra Hang Subba at 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York
New York, 27 October 2025: Indra Hang Subba,
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), is part of India’s Non-official Parliamentary Delegation to the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) being held in New York from 27 to 31 October 2025.
On the first day of the visit, the 13-member Parliamentary delegation participated in a briefing session on India’s engagement at the United Nations, conducted by India’s Permanent Representative to the UN. The session was followed by an interaction and briefing by
Chandramouli Ramanathan, Controller and Assistant Secretary-General for Programme Planning, Finance, and Budget, United Nations.
The briefing provided valuable insights into India’s active role and priorities at the UN, particularly in areas concerning sustainable development, peacekeeping, and multilateral cooperation.
During the visit, the Indian MPs will learn more about the multi-faceted nature of India- UN partnership.
MP Indra Hang Subba has expressed his deep gratitude to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and the Government for this valuable opportunity to get a firsthand knowledge about the workings of UNGA and India’s importance in the global platform.
