19th Installation Ceremony Rotary Club Gtk South: Gopal BasnetTakes Over As the New Prez
Gangtok:15th July: 19th Installation Ceremony of RCG south ‘s President Gopal Basnet was addressed by the Chief Guest S Norgay Chairperson Tourism.He appreciated the activities of the Club.And stressed on health, environment conservation and ways to protect nature.
Guest of Honour Amit Patro editor ,stressed on sustainability.
Rotarian Gopal Basnet,has been installed as the new President of the Rotary club Gtk South,here today in a local hotel,in the presence of Chairman Tourism Sikkim ,Sonam Norgay as the Chief Guest and Editor Sikkim Express Amit Patro as the Guest of Honour .It was followed by his formal acceptance.
The Ceremony was marked by Changeover of Collar Gavel and Club Charter.Club officers and Board of Directors were also installed.
The outgoing President Bhaichung Bhutia could not make it to the programme due to unavoidable circumstances.He was represented by Bina Sharma Vice President.
Prakash Sundas Secretary,enumerated the activities during the immediate past.The major activities included,heart surgery of two needy kids, completion of recreation room for patients of Lee al home for destitute and many more.
Newly Installed President,Basnet took pledge to do the needful as per the norms of Rotary.
Bina Sharma Vice President,also addressed and highlighted Rotary as the NGO.
