Gangtok on 27th Oct: Dzongu Tourism Development Association aspiring to lay Trekking route across the protected area,has been involved in recce is getting huge public support,’ said Tshering Gyatso Lepcha , Chief Coordinator of the Association ,here today.He has requested for Govt notification regarding the trekking route .
‘ From Lum to the destination there are many entry points on the route.Beside,International tourists we have observed Domestic tourists also interested in the same.Once rhe route is operational Dzongu will develope as the Adventure tourism destination also.’
According to Chief Coordinator ,the route goes through an old village which is being abandoned by residents for other villages.If the trekking starts,the vilage can be developed as the heritage village and traditional houses,to add to the attraction,’ added Tshering.
Peter Chettri,serving Tourism sector from Melli said ‘ Dzongu ,has potential for being developed as adventure tourism destination.
Tshering Dorjee ,with his 30 years of experience and expertise said,’ The area has Home Stays and other required facilities,welcoming tourists.
