Gangtok:10th May:Deputy Speaker ,Sikkim Legislative Assembly,Raj Kumari Thapa ,gave away prizes to the winners of 5 kms Run and 2 kms Traditional Attire Walk, here today. The event hosted by Inner Wheel Club of Gangtok, had very good response.It coincided with the Mothers Day.Dy Speaker also participated in the Run .

Addressing the gathering at MG Marg ,Deputy Speaker ,expressed appreciation for the Club for organising the Run.’ The Traditional Attire Run has been organised perhaps for the First time. Racing -Runs are becoming popular these days .These make us healthy, if we are healthy our society gets healthy, ‘said Dy Speaker Thapa.
Dy Speaket praised Tika Mangar Door Darshan,winning 3rd place in 5 kms run today.’ She has also won 113 kms high altitude race in Uttralhand keeing the image of Silkkim high.We should always encourage pur daighters to go to highet levels ,natipnal to International ‘,she added
‘I have also been participating in sich runs myself.Many are participating here for the first time.Under CM PS Tamang women are getting huge opportunity and the should always take advantage of it.CM has envisioned Sunaulo Samridha and Saksham Sikkim.Its our responsibility to see that it is realised,’ added Thapa.
Dy. Speaker expressed confidence that Inner Wheel Vlub will conrinue to host such events in fitire also.And Wished every one happy Mother’s Day.
