Gangtok:18th July: Sikkim CM PS Tamang,has arranged for Football fans to witness the FIFA World Cup Final His Govt wants the people of Sikkim, particularly ‘the youth, to enjoy this historic occasion in a safe and festive atmosphere.’
CM had invited ‘everyone to celebrate this global sporting spectacle with enthusiasm, mutual respect, and civic responsibility. And enjoy the match, stay safe, and celebrate responsibly.’
To facilitate witnessing the much awaited event, Chief Minister’s Fan Park is being established at MG Marg, Gangtok, featuring a giant LED screen for the live screening of the FIFA World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina.
CM says. he has also directed the concerned officials to permit restaurants, bakeries, and eateries at MG Marg to remain open until 3:30 AM on 20th July 2026, subject to compliance with all applicable laws, safety norms, and public order.’
