Gangtok:10th June: CM PS Tamang ,inspected the New Sikkim House in New Delhi and reviewed plans for its comprehensive redevelopment to better serve the people of Sikkim visiting the national capital. The proposed project includes additional rooms, improved parking facilities, modern amenities, and upgraded infrastructure.
CM ,also reviewed the proposed restoration of the Old Sikkim House, emphasizing the need to preserve its heritage, architectural character, and cultural identity while incorporating contemporary facilities. Plans for the renovation and upgradation of Sewa Bhawan, X-30 Hauz Khas, and DKK Bhawan were also discussed.
Subsequently, a meeting was held with the Minister for Buildings and Housing, Bhim Hang Limboo, and departmental officials to deliberate on the proposed works and ensure their timely implementation. ‘These initiatives reflect our commitment to creating better, modern, and citizen-friendly facilities for the people of Sikkim in New Delhi while preserving our rich heritage, ‘ said CM.
