Gangtok:30th May: Chief Electoral Officer Raj Kumar Yadav, IAS, informed that the Enumeration Phase under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll has commenced across the State and will continue from 30th May 2026 to 28th June 2026.
He stated that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are undertaking door-to-door visits for the distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms. Electors are requested to cooperate with the BLOs and submit the required information to ensure an accurate and updated electoral roll.
As of 4:00 PM on 30th May 2026, Enumeration Forms have been distributed to approximately 24,482 electors, accounting for 5.20% of the total electorate in the State. The Chief Electoral Officer clarified that the figure is provisional, as data from all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) is still being compiled and uploaded. The actual number of forms distributed is therefore expected to be higher.
The Chief Electoral Officer emphasized that the exercise is vital for strengthening the integrity of the electoral roll and ensuring that all eligible voters are duly enrolled. District Election Officers and Electoral Registration Officers have been directed to closely monitor the progress of the enumeration process and facilitate its smooth implementation.
CEO, Yadav appealed to all citizens of Sikkim to actively participate in the revision exercise and complete the enumeration process within the prescribed period, thereby contributing to a free, fair, and inclusive electoral system.
