Gangtok:20th May: President of the Citizen Action Party-Sikkim, Ganesh K. Rai, appeared before the Court of the Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Rangpo Sub-Division, in compliance with the summons issued in GD/ Case No. 09 of 2026.
CAP Prez, Ganesh K Rai, is facing charges under U/S 2 of the Prevention of Ilt of National Honour Act, 1971, and Section 3 of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950.
The CAP was celebrating Republic Day with a Cake bearing colours of our National Flag.
The Citizen Action Party-Sikkim wishes to state unequivocally that we hold the highest respect for the judicial system of this nation. We have full faith in the impartiality of the Court .
