Gangtok:20th May: President of the Citizen Action Party-Sikkim, Ganesh K. Rai, appeared before the Court of the Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Rangpo Sub-Division, in compliance with the summons issued in GD/ Case No. 09 of 2026.
CAP Prez, Ganesh K Rai, is facing charges under U/S 2 of the Prevention of Ilt of National Honour Act, 1971, and Section 3 of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950.
The CAP was celebrating Republic Day with a Cake bearing colours of our National Flag.
The Citizen Action Party-Sikkim wishes to state unequivocally that we hold the highest respect for the judicial system of this nation. We have full faith in the impartiality of the Court .
( The case is sub judice hence in brief only informative )However,the baker is more at risk as he used it for commercial purpose and sold it to the other party,they did not get money!
