Gangtok:31th Aug: Deptt of Tourism ,Govt of Sikkim has taken steps for ease of business through digitalization.
Earlier,applications were written and submitted for Hotels and hospitality properties will not require physical -hand to hand submission.
Tourism has introduced Single Sign on Portal and all the applications will have to be submitted through it.Applications for Hotwls & Resorts,Bed & Breakfasts in Service Apartments,Holiday Homes,Home Stays,Restaurants will be submitted and processed ‘Online using Single Sign On Pirtal (SSO).
Online Payment Gateway facility has also been made available in the system.So no more queuing up in the bank for ‘Bank Receipts’.
If still any application is submitted physically ( hard copy),Staff in the Deptt will do it online, according to order issued by the Additional Secretary,Tourism and Civil Aviation Deptt,here.
But the Travel agents, Adventure tour operators,Outdoor ,All tourist guides,Cooks and other services are not onlune ,they will continue as usual.Except that the Bank Receipt (s)system State Bank of Sikkim will be discontinued.Qr code with sound boxes will be used for such payments,Qr code receipt will be accepted as proof.
So ,get ready for ease of business and modernization.
