‘Our priorities remain clear: strengthening roads and infrastructure, improving public amenities, facilitating ease of doing business for local tourism stakeholders, and ensuring that the benefits of Sikkim’s tourism economy accrue meaningfully to the people of Sikkim.’
‘Our Government welcomes informed feedback and constructive participation from all stakeholders. Our objective is not merely to introduce a digital system, but to build a transparent, accountable and sustainable tourism framework that protects Sikkim’s resources, strengthens local participation and serves the long-term interests of the State and its people’.
Reacting to it , Sikkim State BJP, has expressed,’ BJP has taken note of the assurance given by Chief Minister ,Prem Singh Tamang that the proposed Integrated Online Permit System will not adversely affect the interests, livelihoods or welfare of Sikkim’s tourism stakeholders.’
‘If the Government remains true to its word, ensures that ownership and control of the system remain with the Government of Sikkim, and substantially reduces the proposed permit fees, BJP Sikkim will welcome the initiative.’
