Gangtok14th Aug: A huge confusion has been arising in town due to recent steps by a Govt deptt Unexpectedly the UDD has asked certain business establishments to renew their respective licences at UDD.However,some business are still out of the focus of this demand,waiting for their turn,if it hasnt been done by anyone impersonating .
According to information till now they have been regularly renewing licences at GMC .
In one of the cases the establishment has already renewed licence this year also paying Rs +29999.But have been asked to renew !There are more such cases.
They have been claiming that as per Trade & Miscellaneous Licences renewal Act 2011 the fee needs to be paid to UDD.But the part of act as fed online, speaks of acid etc.
But question has arisen if GMC was not allowed to renew, will they be doing so since 2011?Never ! commented those affected .Besides there is no such notification recieved by the establishments to stop paying to GMC .
Now , those who have paid huge amount are in the doledrum , only to be relieved of problem if there is some settlement between GMC and UDD.Both being under same State Govt and GMC under UDD for many purposes if the money can be handed over to appropriate authority and avoid suffering to concerned the issue will be possibly settled.
From next 2027 the GMC online working might reject the same if not permissible in the manner the missing documents are repeatedly asked for by the system!Why not permissible and non-permissible!!
