Gangtok:14th July:Inter School Chess championship 26 to start from 24th July to 26th July 26,’ announced Mahendra Dhakal, Chief Coach Cess Association of Sikkim, here today.
The Tournament will be held in 12 rounds,3 rounds per day.It will run under FIDE laws of Chess.
Entry fee for the tournament is only Rs 500/- and last date of entry is 22nd July.
The Tournament will take place at Sie Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School,Dev area,Gangtok.
Different categories include Under13 for boys and girls,U 11,U 09/ U07/ all for girls and boys separately.
Prizes include Rs 5000/-& a trophy for 1st,Rs 4000/- & trophy for Second ,Rs 3000/-& trophy for Third and Rs 1000 & medal for 4th to 10th, for girls and boys separately.
For Under7 1st will get Rs 1500/-&medal 3rd Rs 500/-4th to 10th medals,U9 – 1st Rs 1500/-& medal and rest same as the above U 11 from 1to 10th medals.
For each of age level 7to 9 2nd prize amounts to Rs 1000/-3rd Rs 500/- 4th to 10th medals.
