Gangtok;10th July : Sikkim Medhavi Skill University celebrated the 14th Foundation Day,with Major General Ashish Negi VSM, GOC 17 Mountain Div.Indian Army as the Chief Guest.Other Prominent Special included, Secretary Planning & Development Tushar Nikhare, D C Pakyong P Bishnoi,TN Giri Director ,Vocational Education,Central Govt,Dr Toku Anuj, Representing Arunachal Pradesh.
Chief Guest GOC encouraged students to always give importance to ‘Nation First’. He said the students are the future of nation and as such should be empowered,skilled and knowledgable. Secretary Planning Tushar Nikhare,emphasized on need to get involved in regular physical excercises,saving habits and taking advantage of modern facilities ,which he said earlier were non existent.He reminded them that they will be the leaders bureaucrats of Viksit Bharat 2047 and should be prepared accordingly.DC Pakyong said dreaming big is required for youth.And that is how one reaches heights even though from a conservative family or humble background.Dr Toku was pleased to see Arunachali students doing good in the university and participating in different activities.’Govt of India has envisioned Viksit Bharat by 2047 and it seems it is percolating to the lowest’.And it has been proved by SMUniversity today.
The hosts Kuldip Saxena ,Founder cum Pro Chancellor SMS University and Chancellor cum Founder member ,Pravesh Dudhani enumerated the ahievementsc of University and expressed confidence that it will be among the top skilling institutions with many more of their branches in the offing.They also felicitated the guests with memento and thanka.
The programme was marked by cultural programme presented by students.
