Gangtok:23rd Dec: Chief Minister PS Tamang, reacted positively to most of the demands put up by MLA Berfung constituencyR D Bhutia. To begin with CM assured that NIT building will be used for educational institution Govt office or any branch of NIT ,after the Institute is shifted to Khamdong.He was addressing gathering at Ralong ground during the Losoong MLA Football Tournament cum festivities.’The infrastructure for NIT is getting constructed at Khamdong.Govt of India had asked State to allot 100 acres of land ,electricity and water which was given for Institute to them there’,added CM.
About road compensation,CM said, ‘ Road is being constructed by NHIDCL in different districts.Compensation is given in the Road Reserve Area,only .This was decided during the previous Govt(SDF).Now the problem is that those not within the road reserve are not getting compensation.But those having houses above the area and it is damaged due to road construction a report about it will be submitted to concerned .here is an independent agency for it.So it will be reported about.
About Schools,CM Tamang said, ‘At present 9 schools have no Principals.Some have been promoted.Now , I have urged Minister for Education Raju Basnett,to fill up the vacant posts in constituencies by teachers from there itself through transfer.And then the vacancies caused to be filled up by recruitment / appointment.This will be done during the winter vacations.
About roads,’In the coming budget session we will allocate budget for roads .The carpeting of all the roads across State will be done on priority basis.PMGSY roads are also being laid.New roads will be constructed only in case of dire need.’
‘All the houses will be constructed for those who have been given allotment orders.By 2027 all the 11 Thousand houses will be ready.’ He asked public not to get misled by the people giving them negative ideas.’Dont go to Social Media ,what will they give you? Questioned CM.
Best of all CM said Rabong being a Tourist destination road to Chozo Lake would be done And road upto Tadhiding will also be done.
