Gangtok:17th April: Leading the mass rally in support of Nari Shakti Vandan bill( amendment),Mrs Krishna Rai,( wife of CM)
joined by Deputy Speaker Raj Kumari Thapa , MLA Kala Rai and MLA Pamil Lepcha ,former OBC Chairperson Pabitra Bhandari,walked on foot from Deorali Tata stand to Paljor Stadium. The VIP Ladies held a huge banner with’Thank you Modi’.
Thousands of women, joined at rhe call given by MLA and others concerned.
Krishna Rai, addressing the gathering at paljor stadium, said , ‘We have worked for future. This( bill) will be historic. We have opened the door for tomorrow. PM Modi has beought up the bill for equal rights, inclusivity and new nation building. ‘
Women are not meant to be confined to Kitchen,but lead.Earlier we used to say ,’ there is a women behind every man but now it will be said behind every successful women there is a women.
