Kolkata:11th May: New CM Shubendu Adhikari, has introduced a number of chamges including appointment of State Chief Secretary on the basis of seniority. This has given West Bengal a new CS Manoj Agrawal. Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita will now replace PCI.
Besides West Bengal Govt has abolished all the posts manned by nominated members Chairpersons and Directors in public sector undertakings,Boards,State run organizatios. and Non statutory bodies with immediate effect.Those on extension of services beyond the age of superannuation i. e. 60. will be terminated. Nominated Municipal Chairpersons,members of dev.of boards, Education boards,School service Commission,College Service Commission and orhers.
This testifies to immediate action against non democratic practices.And a ray of light for Municipal Elections.
