Gangtok:11th Aug: Vigilance Police has taken into custody Head Assistant,presently serving Tourism Deptt. According to Sikkim Vigilance Police , HA was involved in conspiracy and involvement in misappropriation of funds ,from Gangtok Distt Zilla Panchayat and Jal Jeewan Mission. ( The case relates to the HAs tenure in Panchayat office as the then accountant).Sachiva GDZP has complained so FIR has also been registered,charging HA and others involved with Cheating Forgery and Conspiracy.They have been accoused of inflating their own salary billas from2018-2025.It has been alleged that the HA has caused loss of Crores to Govt.
‘ The accused is held in custody for further investigation’Earlier the concerned authorities raided the residence of HA.
Two other accused had been arrested sometime back in the case.Names have not been disclosed by Vigilance of those against whom FIR has been lodged.
