Sikkim @50 Golden Jubilee Conclave on 13th May’25: Press Club & IPR GOS
Gangtok: 11th May :The Press Club of Sikkim led by its President Bhim Rawat with Information & Public Relations Deptt,represented by Senior District Information Officer, Sarojini Subba,disclosed here today that a media Conclave is on the way.The programme will be held on 13th May at a local hotel in Adampool.Governor of Sikkim has been invited as the Chief Guest.The programme with Minister PS Tamang as the Chief Patron,will see eminent Journalists from across the nation including from Gangtok,Sikkim also.
‘All the prominent figures have been invited.Media here is expected to participate wholeheartedly to make the Conclave a success,’ said Sr DIO S.Subba.
President,Press Club of Sikkim,Bhim Rawat,briefing the media said,’ Govt of Sikkim,is sponsoring the programme.Discussion among intellectuals will be there in the day long programme.CM is yet to confirm to be the main panelist.The 3 sessions will have different themes including, achievements of Statehood in the last 50 years and expected dev in future.2nd session – discussions will be held on Investment in Sikkim, potential.3rd session will be held on Strategic location of Sikkim,it’s emotional integration with the Nation during the said 50 years and the type of future strategic development required for border State surrounded by International borders’.
Nirmal Manger Cultural Secretary to PCS,informed that , ‘ Journalists invited to participate in the panel discussions & to moderate the same include ,most experienced Kunal Sengupta,Karma Pajor East Mojo,Pema Wangchuk – Summit Times( Gangtok).Prof Mahendra P Lama,(JNU)Economic Advisor to Sikkim Govt and Ajay Balakrishnan VP Hotels.’
Additional Chief Secretary to Tourism Govt of Sikkim,CS Rao in will also join the panel discussions.
