Kolkata, July 13: The Tourism & Civil Aviation Department Government of Sikkim, successfully concluded its participation at TTF Kolkata 2026, with the State making a remarkable impression during the three-day travel and tourism exhibition.
The Sikkim Pavilion on Sunday and other days, attracted an overwhelming response from visitors, travel trade professionals and industry stakeholders, reaffirming Sikkim’s growing stature as one of India’s premier tourism destinations.
A defining highlight of the event was the conferment of the TTF Excellence Award – Group Participation Award to Sikkim Tourism in recognition of its outstanding collective participation and impactful presence throughout the exhibition. The prestigious award reflects the commitment, professionalism and collaborative efforts of Sikkim’s tourism fraternity in showcasing the State’s diverse tourism offerings and unique experiences.
This year, Sikkim Tourism was represented by a wide cross-section of tourism stakeholders and associations, including the Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS), Sikkim Hotel and Restaurant Association (SHRA), Sikkim United Tour Operators (SUTO), United Silk Route Tourism Development society,
Rhenock Tourism Development Society, Homestay Association of Sikkim (HAS),AASTHA,PTDA, Village Tourism Development Committees from Pakyong District, Soreng District, Namchi District along with several prominent tourism entrepreneurs.
Their active participation played a significant role in promoting Sikkim’s tourism potential, strengthening business networks and generating valuable trade opportunities.
The participating tourism stakeholders expressed immense satisfaction with the quality of interactions, productive business engagements and networking opportunities created during the exhibition. Tourism stakeholders conveyed their sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri.Prem Singh Tamang Golay and Hon’ble Minister Tourism & Civil Aviation Department Shri.Tshering T Bhutia for guidance, encouragement and unwavering support, which enabled the successful participation of the State at the prestigious Travel and Tourism Fair.
The participation was coordinated by Ms. Rina Brahma, Joint Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department and the team from the Tourist Information Centre (TIC), Kolkata, whose dedicated efforts ensured the seamless organisation and impactful presentation of the Sikkim Pavilion throughout the event.
