Gangtok:22 nd Jan : ‘Sikkim Police on has been given President’s Police Colours Award . Sikkim is the 15th State in the country to get it since 1950,’ said DGP A Sachdeva , here today.
DGP said, credit for the award is hereby shared with all the ranks of Police, public .He attributed it to CM also.
Major criteria for bestowing the award,includes a cording to DGP,peace in the State of Law& Order in Manually manning traffic Cyber fraud prevention,sense of satisfaction among the police, and some more, according to Sachdeva.
Soon the required will be done and sent to Union Home Ministry through CM and once it’s done ,a VIP will be visiting Sikkim. A ceremonious parade will take place.All the police participants will be wearing uniforms with new insignia allotted and a new flag also. The parade needs to be led by SP rank of officer and guard of honour has to be presented to either the President of India, PM or Union Home Minister . That will be known in the long run.
Whole Police fraternity is overwhelmed with joy according to DGP .He was accompanied by IGPs ,Tashi Wangyal IPS,Hari Chettri IPS and Thakur Thapa,looking after Law & Order,Sikkim Armed Police and HQ respectively.
