
MLA Aditya Golay Chief Guest at Souvenirs of Sikkim
Gangtok: Valedictory programme of 6 day long ‘Souvenirs of Sikkim’ ,saw MLA Aditya Golay as the Chief Guest,here today.He was joined by Secretary Commerce & Industries,Karma Yutso and Director MSME Ravindra Kumar,at the programme organised by OMAS as the Guest of Honour and Special Guests respectively.
MLA Aditya Golay, felicitated musicians Rahul Rai and Mellow Gyatso posthumously. Narendra Rasaily was felicitated for having.Subsequently contributed in the field of music through launching bands .
ML A Aditya Golay addressing the gathering, said ” OMAS has been doing a good work.We have many cultural programmes and schemes ,would like OMAS to help with their expertise in future.Instead of trying only for Govt jobs Youth should also take up entrepreneurship.OMAS has been encouraging entrepreneurs in artists and musicians all ‘.He thanked the OMAS and congratulated them for organizing Souvenirs of Sikkim.
Founder member cum Advisor OMAS Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha ,said main aim of OMAS is to motivate budding artists musicians and entrepreneurs ,as they don’t get platform to express themselves and show their talent.He sang a melodious Nepali song at the audience request.
The programme was marked by cultural presentations ,including dances and instrumental music. Panel discussion by the entrepreneurs from stalls showcasing Souvenirs was conducted ,participants included Nikhil J Pradhan Apicare in Sernya Palmu Handicrafts in Lalita Pradhan Lola Blossoms Handicrafts and Bimla Chettri Assistant Director Commerce & Industry.It had good response till late evening.
Sonam Gyatso Bhutia, also Advisor proposed the Vote of thanks.And expressed happiness at the successful culmination of 6 day long programme cum exhibition held from 21st onwards.
Earlier,President Organisation of Musicians,Artisans and Entrepreneurs (OMAS), Leezum Bhutia welcomed the guests.
