Gangtok /Kalimpong.:11th July : Darjeeling MP Raju Bista , chaired the first meeting of ‘Disha’ i.e. District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for Kalimpong District.
‘The ‘Disha’ committee ensures effective implementation and monitoring various development projects of the central and state government by promoting close coordination between elected representatives and district administration, reducing institutional gap in the administration system.’
‘In the meeting, today we reviewed the ongoing construction and repair work for every house, water plan in rural areas including education, health, national highway and rural roads across the district. We also discussed the challenges and solutions of the implementation of Annapurna Bhandar Scheme, Prime Minister Housing Scheme (PMAY), Ayushman Bharat, NRLM, NHM, ICDS, VB G-RAM-G, and other important social welfare schemes,’ said MP Bista.
‘Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister ,Subendu Adhikari, BJP’s “double engine” government is tirelessly active in providing “ease in life” to every citizen by establishing transparent, responsible, and public-centered administration,’ MP added.
Prominent among those present included, MLA Kalimpong Bharat Chhetri, District Magistrate, ADM, GTA Secretary, SDO , all BDOs, CMOH, NHIDCL, PMGSY Executive Engineer and other senior officers.
