Gangtok,16th May : Sikkim’s merger to Indian union as the 22nd State is celebrated here as the State Day.Earlier it was a protectorate of India.Kazi Lhendup Dorjee, Father of Democracy in Sikkim was the first Chief Minister of democratic India.Gov and CM addressed the gathering focusing on Operation Sindoor and development of Sikkim.
Governor OP Mathur and CM PS Tamang,offered rich tributes at his portrait .Thereafter public saw March past . Governor inspected different continents.It was followed by a cultural programme.
