Constitution -India -Sourh Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group: Speaker OM Birla nominates MP DT Lepcha

Gangtok 8th March: Lone Sikkim MP DT Lepcha , has been nominated by the Speaker Lok Sabha ,as the member of the India-South Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Speaker OM Birla,constituted first phase of friendship groups in late February ’26.He has constituted groups with+60 countries and more are expected  . This is to strengthen friendship with other countries . It is done to let law makers speak directly with their counterparts abroad. And make study visits abroad, exchange experience and encourage inter-parliamentary ties.
