CAP Posts Letter to PM Modi :Finds Odd Even Vehicle System Objectionable

- Citizen Action Party Writes to PM & Union Minister for Petroleum about Odd & Even Vehicle SystemGangtok : A party delegation comprising Vice President Kiran Zimba, Spokesperson Albert Gurung, Gangtok District President Lalit Gurung, and Namchi Singhithang ACEC President Sonam Wangyal Bhutia today posted official letter from Head Post Office, Gangtok addressed to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri regarding the prevailing situation arising from the fuel supply disruption in Sikkim and the subsequent semi-lockdown imposed by the SKM Government.Through the letters, the delegation strongly urged the Prime Minister and the concerned Ministry to take immediate cognizance of the matter and intervene at the earliest in the interest of the people of Sikkim. Concern was expressed over the hardships being faced by the public, emphasizing that citizens should not be made to suffer due to administrative shortcomings.
They further reiterated that the welfare, dignity, and day-to-day lives of the people of Sikkim must remain paramount, and all necessary measures should be taken to ensure that normalcy is restored without causing inconvenience to the public ,’according to information from Zigmie D Bhutia,Secretary, Press & Publicity Council Citizen Action Party – Sikkim .
- Subsequently the Spokespersons Mahesh Rai and Albert Gurung interacted with media in a local hotel and stressed the need for normal vehicle plying system as the rural areas have hardly any taxies .
