Gangtok:8th Oct:’Special Camps will be conducted on 11th October ’26 at each Polling Station, across Sikkim,for enrollment of left out voters and new electors.’as per announcement from the Office of Vhief Electoral Officer ,here today.
It is being done ,’In pursuance of the instructions of the Election Commission of India, vlde letter no. 23/2025/ERS (Vol-II) dated 01/10/2026.Special Drive for the enrolment of left-out electors and young newly eligible electors is being undertaken in the State of Sikkim.’
‘The Special Drive will be conducted at the level of Electoral Registration Offlcer(ERO) wherever required, under the supervision of District Election Officers (DEOs). Duting this special drive Special Camp will be conducted on 11.10.2026 (Sunday) by the Booth Level, Officers (BLOs) in their respective Polling Station along with other field-level funct\onarIes throughout the state, to facilitate the enrolment of eligible citizens who have not yet been included in the electora! roll and who have been left out.’
‘The drive will focus on facilitating the enrolment of left-out eligible electors as well as young and first-time eligible electors who have attained the age of 18 years and are eligible for enrolment but have not yet been included in the electoral roll. Such eligible electors will be assisted in submitting Form 6 for inclusion of their names in the electoral roll.’
CEO has appealed, ‘All eligible electors to take advantage ot this Special Camp and come forward to ensure that their names are included in the electoral roll, thereby strengthening their participation in the democratic process.’
