Gangtok 18th Sept: ‘No Sikkim Darjeeling merger -We will come out on streets ‘, such things are said , Conscious Youth of Sikkim assured . When there are so many suitable / eligible persons in Sikkim, why should anyone else be appointed as Economic Adviser of State? Asked a member of CY, here today. He alleged that Prof Mahendra P Lama , has submitted to Govt of India, Four ways to solve Gorkhaland issue, including attaching contigous area to Darjeeling/ or proposed Gorkhaland. This would mean Sikkim and North Bengal running along Darjeeling border to be attached to Gorkha Land.
‘We have never opposed Gorkhaland campaign.But not in favour pf merger .Prof M Lama holding a hogh post in Dikkim should not have done so.We demand his removal from the post of Economic Adviser to Sikkim State.’
