When there are so many suitable / eligible persons in Sikkim, why should anyone else be appointed as Economic Adviser of State? Asked a member of CY, here today. He alleged that Prof Mahendra P Lama , has submitted to Govt of India, Four ways to solve Gorkhaland issue, including attaching contigous area to Darjeeling/ or proposed Gorkhaland. This would mean Sikkim and North Bengal running along Darjeeling border to be attached to Gorkha Land.
‘We have never opposed Gorkhaland campaign.But we are not in favour of merger .Earliet,th concerned people asked for Gorkhaland Why should a full fledged State,protected by Article ,371 F be merged.Merger will not even be advantageous for people of Gorkhaland.And we will have demographic change’,said Prawin.
