Gangtok:18th Sept: Chief Guest Yogesh Gurung IFS , Secretary (rtd),launched the poster for upcoming ‘Miss Tamushyo 2026 ‘here at a local hotel .He was joined by other dignitaries from Gurung community .

The Poster launching Programme was organised by Sikkim Gurung Youth.Lalita Gurung adhyaksha of Komal Gurung Bidur Gurung and Samjhana Gurung, will be actively hosting the season -1 of the beauty pageant.
Bidur Gurung,said ‘,Auditions for Miss Tamushyo will be conducted in all the Six districts.It will also focus on Culture language and literature,which is fading away.’He added that Youth wing of Gurungs will hold workshops for youngsters and give importance to their education.The winners of beauty peagant will be given opportunity in National and International events also.’
Member of Organising Committee Komal Gurung ,said ,’ It is to give a platform to the youth and promote them in life.The seniors have cultured us now we are going to pass on the knowyto young ones. ulture lamguage are very important without these there is no identity .We need to encourage younger people.Thanka to CM Tamamg due to whom all the communication are flourishing in Sikkim.He does nt discriminate between different people on the basis of caste class or community.’
Komal solicited support of elders for making the Miss Tamushyo a success.
